Selling Process For Buyers
- When you decide that it’s time to sell your home and you are ready for a new life change, consider these steps before moving forward.
- Determine you are financially capable and everyone in your family is ready for the change. As most sellers are also buyers.
- Before consulting a realtor decide what locations your willing to relocate your family to and if the location is adequate for everyone. This would include your job(s), the schools needed for children as well as available recourses for everyday life. (Sellers/Buyers)
- Also consider at least 2 locations, 3 preferred. The home you like may not always be in one specific location, your realtor will need some other options to help you along the way. (Sellers/Buyers)
- After finding your favorite locations to buy a home and the rest of your needs in those locations are met decide on a realistic timeframe you would like to complete the transaction, make sure to supply your agent with all this information. Now lets focus on the task at hand, preparing for the sale of your home is key and will get the ball rolling quickly and smoothly to meet your timeframe.
- Lets find the documents you need to get started as your agent will also need a copy of them. You will need a copy of your deed and your current or previous year taxes for your home or property. Taxes would include county, municipal and school. In some cases a flood certification may be needed as well. Having all the documents and information upfront keeps things going smoothly.
- Deciding on an agent is important and you need to remember that having an agent in this scenario is in your best interest. Your agent will be there for you through the whole process and will be your best source for help, advice, knowledge and guide you through even the most difficult issues. You must have faith in the agent you pick so make sure you feel comfortable with him or her and remember your agent does this job everyday so take his or her advice and recommendations because it is our job as agents to look out for your best interests and help you reach the goal you set.
